How to Cancel Hulu (and What the Disney Bundle Changes)
Cancelling Hulu takes about a minute, but where you cancel depends on how you signed up. Here is the exact flow, plus the Disney Bundle and third-party billing gotchas.

We independently score every service with our Experience Index. We may earn a commission if you subscribe through links on this page โ it never affects our scores or picks.
Hulu is one of the easier services to walk away from โ which is exactly why it scores well on our Experience Index for exit ease.
Exit Ease: 9/10How do you cancel Hulu?
- Sign in at hulu.com on a browser (the flow is cleanest on desktop โ the mobile app sends you to the website anyway).
- Click your profile icon in the top-right corner, then open your Account page.
- Scroll to Your Subscription and click Cancel.
- Hulu will offer to pause your plan first โ if you are committed to leaving, choose Continue to Cancel.
- Confirm. Hulu sends a confirmation email and your plan stays active until your billing date.
Deleting the app or signing out does not stop billing โ only finishing the cancellation does.
What if there is no Cancel button?
If there is no Cancel option in your account, you are billed through a third party โ and Hulu cannot cancel for you. You manage it wherever you signed up:
- Apple: Settings โ your name โ Subscriptions โ Hulu โ Cancel Subscription.
- The Disney Bundle: if Disney bills the bundle, manage it from your Disney+ account; otherwise cancel through whoever bills you (below).
- Verizon: through your Verizon plan, where Hulu is often included as a perk.
- Spotify (student plan): Hulu has historically come bundled with Spotify's student tier โ cancel or change it in your Spotify account.
- TV / cable provider: cancel the Hulu add-on in that provider's account.
Not sure which applies? Your Hulu account page shows who handles your payment under your subscription details.
Cancelling the Disney Bundle vs. just Hulu
This is the gotcha that trips people up. Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+ are frequently sold together as the Disney Bundle, and Disney has been folding Hulu's catalog directly into the Disney+ app. If you have the bundle, cancelling "Hulu" may mean one of two very different things:
- You only want to drop the Hulu piece. If your bundle is billed by Disney, switch or downgrade from your Disney+ account rather than Hulu's โ cancelling on Hulu's side can affect the whole bundle.
- You want out of everything. Cancel the bundle from wherever it is billed (Disney, Verizon, or a TV provider), not just Hulu.
The rule of thumb: confirm who bills the bundle before you click cancel, so you do not accidentally lose Disney+ and ESPN+ along with Hulu โ or keep paying for them when you meant to drop the lot.
What does Hulu cost in 2026 (if you come back)?
If you are leaving over price rather than the catalog, it is worth knowing where the standalone on-demand plans stand before you decide โ switching tiers may solve the problem without cancelling at all.
| Plan | Monthly price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Hulu (With Ads) | about $11.99/month | Cheapest entry point; pay annually to save ~20% |
| Hulu (No Ads) | about $18.99/month | Ad-free on-demand catalog |
| Hulu (Student, With Ads) | about $1.99/month | Requires eligible student verification |
Hulu + Live TV is a different, much pricier product โ it bundles Disney+ and ESPN+ and competes with cable replacements rather than on-demand streamers. If that is what you are weighing, our YouTube TV vs Hulu + Live TV breakdown compares them head to head.
If a cheaper tier or the student rate would fix things, you do not have to cancel โ you can switch plans from the same Account page:
